मैंने अपने घर की छत डालने के लिए Tufcon XT का 12mm सरिया खरीदा था, क्योंकि दुकानदार ने इसे 600 ग्रेड बताया और कहा कि इसकी स्ट्रेंथ बहुत ज्यादा है। लेकिन जब हमने लेबोरेटरी में इसकी टेस्टिंग करवाई, तो हैरानी की बात थी – ये 450 ग्रेड भी नहीं निकला।
इतनी बड़ी क्वालिटी की गिरावट देखकर मैं हैरान रह गया। इतना महंगा सरिया लेकर भी अगर स्ट्रेंथ नहीं मिले तो घर की सुरक्षा खतरे में आ जाती है। जब मैंने यह बात डीलर को बताई तो उसने कहा कि हो सकता है टेस्टिंग में गलती हुई हो। लेकिन हम तीन जगह टेस्ट करवा चुके थे और हर बार नतीजे वही निकले।
अब मैं इस सरिए का इस्तेमाल नहीं कर रहा और पूरा स्टॉक वापिस लौटाने की कोशिश कर रहा हूं। Tufcon XT पर मेरा भरोसा पूरी तरह से टूट गया है।

Tufcon XT सरिए की सबसे बड़ी दिक्कत इसकी *consistency* है। एक ही bundle में अलग-अलग सरिए की मोटाई अलग निकली – किसी की 10mm थी तो किसी की सिर्फ 9.2mm। इस वजह से साइट पर बार-बार कटिंग और एडजस्टमेंट करनी पड़ी, जिससे बहुत टाइम और मटेरियल बर्बाद हुआ।
इतनी खराब साइजिंग तो मैंने लोकल ब्रांड्स में भी नहीं देखी थी। ऊपर से फिनिशिंग भी बहुत खराब थी – जगह-जगह सरिए पर रस्ट लगे हुए थे और कुछ की सतह इतनी खराब थी कि binding wire भी ढंग से नहीं लग पा रहा था।
मेरे इंजीनियर ने साफ मना कर दिया कि इस सरिए से कॉलम नहीं बन सकते। मजबूरी में मैंने सारा माल बदलवाया। अब मैं Tufcon XT किसी को भी recommend नहीं करूंगा।

डीलर ने कहा कि Tufcon XT सरिया "एक्स्ट्रा स्ट्रॉन्ग" है और इसकी bending capacity सबसे अच्छी है। लेकिन जब मिस्त्री ने onsite रिंग्स बनाना शुरू किया, तो सरिया मोड़ते ही क्रैक करने लगा। कुछ सरिए तो हल्की bending पर ही टूट गए।
इससे मेरा बहुत सारा मटेरियल खराब हो गया और मजदूरों का टाइम भी बर्बाद हुआ। सबसे बड़ी बात – इस सरिए पर कोई batch number या certification तक नहीं था। ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे लोकल प्लांट से scrap मिलाकर बना दिया हो।
अब मैं घर की छत डालने के लिए सिर्फ टाटा या जिंदल जैसा ब्रांड ही खरीदूंगा। Tufcon XT से तो सिर्फ नुकसान ही हुआ है।
