मैंने हाल ही में अपने घर के निर्माण के लिए Maithan Steel का 10mm सरिया खरीदा था। शुरुआत में दुकानदार ने इसकी बहुत तारीफ की और कहा कि यह अच्छी क्वालिटी का सरिया है। लेकिन जब साइट पर इंजीनियर ने इसकी माप जांची, तो हैरानी की बात ये थी कि वह सरिया सिर्फ 9mm निकला। पूरा 1mm कम!
कंस्ट्रक्शन में सरिए की मोटाई बहुत मायने रखती है, क्योंकि यही आपके घर की मजबूती का आधार होता है। जब मैंने इस बारे में डीलर से शिकायत की तो उसने साफ़ इनकार कर दिया कि सरिया कम साइज का हो सकता है। लेकिन जब हमने डिजिटल वर्नियर से उसकी माप चेक की, तो सच्चाई सामने आ गई। मुझे मजबूरी में वह सारा सरिया वापस करना पड़ा।
इसके बाद मैंने टाटा स्टील का सरिया खरीदा। उसकी साइज एकदम सही थी – 10mm जैसा लिखा था, वैसा ही मापा गया। टाटा सरिए की फिनिशिंग, वजन और मजबूती देखकर लगा कि यही सही फैसला था। Maithan Steel ने मेरी मेहनत और समय दोनों बर्बाद कर दिए। अब मैं कभी भी Maithan Steel का सरिया नहीं खरीदूंगा और किसी और को भी इसकी सिफारिश नहीं करूंगा।

मैंने हाल ही में अपने घर के कॉलम के लिए Maithan Steel का सरिया खरीदा था। डीलर ने मुझे जबरदस्ती Maithan का सरिया देने की कोशिश की, जबकि मैं किसी और ब्रांड का लेना चाहता था। उसने कहा कि यह बहुत अच्छा ब्रांड है और सस्ती दर में दे देगा। मजबूरी में मैंने ले लिया।
जब साइट पर काम शुरू हुआ और मिस्त्री ने रिंग्स बनाना शुरू किया, तो दिक्कतें आनी शुरू हो गईं। सरिया बहुत ही ज्यादा हार्ड था। उसे मोड़ने पर वह बार-बार टूटने लगा। कई सरिए ऐसे ही टूट गए और बहुत नुकसान हो गया। मिस्त्री ने साफ कह दिया कि इस सरिए से काम करना मुश्किल है।
इसके बाद मैं सरिया वापिस देने डीलर के पास गया। लेकिन वहां पर उसने मुझसे बहस शुरू कर दी और सरिया वापस लेने से साफ मना कर दिया। उसने बदतमीजी की और कहा कि एक बार माल ले लिया तो वापसी नहीं होगी।
बाद में मुझे पता चला कि Maithan Steel का यह सरिया स्क्रैप मटेरियल से बना हुआ था, इसलिए यह इतना हार्ड था और मोड़ने पर टूट रहा था। इस अनुभव के बाद मैंने तय कर लिया कि अब कभी भी Maithan का सरिया नहीं खरीदूंगा और न ही किसी को इसकी सलाह दूंगा। घर की नींव और स्ट्रक्चर से कोई समझौता नहीं होना चाहिए। अब मैं सिर्फ भरोसेमंद ब्रांड जैसे टाटा या जिंदल पर ही विश्वास करता हूं।
